Project “Promotion of Sustainable Development by Strengthening the Social Clustering in Public Sector”

On September 11th, 2015 in Central project management agency Vice-Rector for Research and Development, Acting Rector, Professor PhD Aivas Ragauskas (Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (LUES)) signed implementation agreement of the project „Promotion of Sustainable Development by Strengthening the Social Clustering in Public Sector“(No. NOR-LT10-VRM-01-K-02-006). The project will be financed under the 2009–2014 Norwegian Financial Mechanism Programme LT10 “Capacity-Building and Institutional Cooperation between Beneficiary State and Norwegian Public Institutions, Local and Regional Authorities”

Aim of the project: to contribute to the regional policy objectives by transferring the Kingdom’s of Norway knowledge and best practices to authorities of the Republic of Lithuania and Lithuania’s municipal authorities, to promote their sustainable development, to strengthen the capacity and cooperation in the social sector, as well as social clustering between local and regional partners.

Project objectives:

  1. To develop skills and social cluster competencies by promoting lifelong learning, and to contribute to the implementation of regional policy.
  2. To improve the welfare state policy implementation of public and administrative capacity in the project partner‘s institutions.
  3. To ensure public transparency in the implementation of welfare policy by developing and implementing the innovative anti-corruption means at local and regional level.Project duration: from September 11th, 2015 to April 30th, 2017
