On 8 March, 2023, Lithuanian Democracy College with Ossiannilsson QOOL (quality in open online learning) Consultancy from Sweden presented the „Digital Inclusion for all Learners“ (DI4ALL) project in Open Education Week.
Digital inclusion has become a necessity in today’s world. With the fast-paced technological advancements and the COVID-19 pandemic, digital education has become a critical component of the education sector. DI4all is an Erasmus+ project aimed at enhancing digital inclusion in education. The project, which runs from 2022-2023, is led by Ebba Ossiannilsson Quality in Open Online Learning (QOOL) Consultancy in Sweden and implemented by Lithuanian College of Democracy in Vilnius.
DI4all aims to improve the key competencies, skills, and learning performance of young people in schools by promoting quality improvements, innovation excellence at the educational level, and involving digital inclusiveness. Additionally, the project aims to enhance the competencies of teachers and educators to promote digital inclusion and tackle disinformation through education and training.
The target groups of the project include students, school staff, schools, other educational providers, public bodies, and national agencies. To achieve its objectives, DI4all will carry out several activities, including training of trainers for implementing digital inclusion, the development of guides for educators, a study of best practices and case studies, and an online contest for schools to present their best practices in digital inclusion of all learners. The project will conclude with a final seminar.
DI4all is in line with the strategic priorities of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027). The programme aims to support the development of a high-performing digital education ecosystem and enhance digital skills and competence development at all levels of society. Moreover, the project prioritizes active citizenship, inclusion and diversity, and green sustainability.
In conclusion, DI4all is a timely project aimed at enhancing digital inclusion in education. Through its activities, the project will contribute to the development of a high-performing digital education ecosystem and enhance digital skills and competence development at all levels of society. The project’s focus on active citizenship, inclusion and diversity, and green sustainability also underscores its relevance in today’s world.
