On 8-13 August, 2016 “Navininkų akademija“ took part in Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences training base in Trakai Region and did not leave anybody indifferent – neither participating families, nor volunteering youth. Both children and their parents were taught positivity through the best practices in the organized families empowerment training, based on “Learning by doing“ method.
There is a tendency that instead of widely spoken social problems in mass media, more and more attention is paid to the positive world around us. Having this aim, according to the organizers of “Navininkai akademija“, they are trying to help children and their parents to design successful life scenarios – to strive to create conditions for the best practices, at the same time gradually replacing bad experiences.
Lithuanian College of Democracy Aukštadvaris Branch Children‘s Day-Care Centre “Navininkai“ project “The development of family empowerment services at Childrens’ Day-Care Centres“ one of activities was these trainings, designed not only to improve children‘s activities, but also to develop their positive socialization in the society.
Being at Academy, children and parents not only played, participated in sports, danced, shared, learned, but also tried to hear and listen what lectures were telling. Throughout the program, with the overall objective to enable disadvantaged families to project a successful life scenario, experiences were shared, family empowerement education was taught and cultural-educational activities took place.
